New Supertrol-2 Functions & Features
For Utility Applications

The latest version of KEP's Supertrol-2 Flow Computer (Ver.02.XX.16) includes support for Spirax-Sarco's Gilflo ILVA flowmeters and McCrometer's advanced V-Cone equations. These flowmeters are commonly used for custody transfer and combustion monitoring in the utility and process control industries.
The new ILVA 16 Point flowmeter selection lets you utilize Gilflo ILVA flowmeters in steam, gas and liquid applications by directly entering the calibration table provided with the flowmeter in the form of the range of the differential pressure transmitter, and the calibration table for the ILVA.
The various compensation and flow equations are then calculated by the Supertrol-2, including corrections for flowmeter linearity, actual operating density of the fluid, gas expansion if gas or steam, Reynolds number effects, and effects of operating temperature. The flow computer provides the standard range of liquid, gas steam, and energy equations.
Supertrol-2 also supports McCrometer's latest V-Cone equations for compressible fluid (gas and steam). The latest Y1 gas expansion factor equation specified by McCrometer has been added to the the latest release of Supertrol-2 and provides increased accuracy for compressible fluids when used on lower line pressures.
Another upgrade to this release of Supertrol-2 is an improved data averaging calculation for use with the internal data-logger option. The new algorithm provides a faster time-averaged calculation for process variable information stored in the data-logger.
