MINItrol (MRT) General Application

The most common application for the MINItrol (MRT) is Rate monitoring and Totalization for a liquid. The relay outputs are often used as flow rate alarms or totalizer alarms. This application uses a turbine meter with a magnetic pickup so the Minitrol was ordered with the “3MB” Input Option (mag. pickup 30mV input on Input A & B). The optional analog output and serial communication can be used to track data on strip chart recorders or computers. The A Input shows the Rate and Total. The B Input shows the B Totalizer and is usually set up to be a non-reset grand total but can be scaled separately to show other units of measure.
