Monitoring LPG Gas on a Mass Basis
The MASStrol utilizes the pressure and temperature signals, as well as user input data, to compute the density of the flowing LPG. As LPG is highly compressible the MASStrol variant MS627 is used to calculate gas compressibility on a continuous basis. The measured differential pressure is used to calculate the volumetric flow rate. The calculated values are then combined in order to yield the mass flow of LPG. By utilizing the MASStrol MS627 gas mass flow can be calculated more accurately than would normally be the case.
