SUPERtrol II Energy Application Notes: Download Yours Now!

 Chilled Water
HEATED/CHILLED WATER
This application note describes a Chilled Water Metering System using a magnetic flowmeter, two temperature transmitters and an electronic flow computer.

The SUPERtrol II multi-function flow computer monitors volumetric and mass flow of water, liquid sensible heat, and delta heat. It can be easily incorporated with a remote PC, modem, and remote metering software.

Steam Monitoring App NoteSTEAM MONITORING
A typical steam monitoring system consists of a differential pressure transmitter(s) a static pressure meter and an electronic flow computer.

Here the SUPERtrol II flow computer performs the necessary calculations needed to compute the steam flow from the electrical signals it receives. Measured parameters include uncompensated volume rate, corrected volume rate, mass rate, temperature, pressure and density.

SUPERtrol Flow Computers feature data-logging and communication options including modem, RS485 Modbus RTU, wired and wireless LAN, Modbus and TCP.

The SUPERtrol II reduces installation and operating costs in remote monitoring and data-logging applications. The flow computer displays and outputs compensated flow calculations for gases, liquids, steam and heat.

KEP's Energy Flow Computers have demonstrated their accuracy, flexibility and reliability in a wide range of energy monitoring applications, and in many cases have replaced some of the functionality of a small PLC.
